Christchurch School to host regatta in honor of Jack Dozier

This Saturday and Sunday, Christchurch School will host a Fall Invitational Regatta in honor of 1965 graduate, trustee and local businessman Jack Dozier,

Dozier was a longtime supporter of the school and owner of The Waterway Guide publications and Dozier Yachting Center, with marinas in Urbanna and Deltaville.

Earlier this fall, the school’s sailing program added 21 new collegiate/high school ZIM FJ sailboats, named the Jack Dozier ’65 Fleet, to its existing fleet of 30 international 420 Class Dinghies. The new fleet was blessed by chaplain Scott Parnell during Fall Family Weekend.

Participating teams will travel from Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Illinois, Maryland and Virginia.
