Donald O. Conaway, a surgical technologist in the surgical services department at Bon Secours Rappahannock General Hospital, is being recognized by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) for two important career milestones.
Conaway has maintained certification for 25 years as a Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) and 30 years as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST). In addition to maintaining his CSFA and CST certifications, Conaway has also served on the NBSTSA in an elected role for 12 years during his career.
Conaway has been with RGH for more than 35 years. Between cutting-edge equipment and advanced procedures, there are too many exciting things going on in the RGH surgical department to consider retirement now, he said.
