Santa Claus greeted children in the crowd after arriving at the “Countdown to Christmas” event and ceremonial tree lighting at Town Centre Park in Kilmarnock last Saturday. Special events coordinator Ashley Jones escorted Santa. Jones organized the event that was attended by over 150 people and included caroling and free cookies and hot chocolate.
