WHITE STONE—Dominion Energy is now two months into the process of constructing underwater transmission lines across the Rappahannock River.
These underwater lines will replace the lines that have been attached to the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge since 1962, which need to be replaced in order to maintain the structural integrity and reliability of its transmission system and to perform needed maintenance on its existing facilities, according to Dominion’s permit application to the State Corporation Commission of Virginia (SCC) in 2016.
