KILMARNOCK—Free rides are available to all residents of the Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck who want to vote on Election Day, November 5. The deadline to reserve a complimentary round trip to the polling place is November 1, 2019.
“As a wonderful community service, Bay Transit again is offering absolutely no charge rides to anyone who wants to vote,” said Catherine Bennett, a member of the League of Women Voters of Virginia. “For residents of Lancaster or Northumberland counties, call Bay Transit at 250-2011 to reserve your trip to vote at your polling place.”
Bay Transit operates from 6 a.m.-6 p.m.
“On Election Day, you must vote at your designated voting place for your vote to be counted,” said Bennett.
