Farm museum will host Harvest Festival

The annual Harvest Festival is this weekend at Northern Neck Farm Museum, 12705 Northumberland Highway, Heathsville.

Folks are urged to join the museum directors for their two day Fall Harvest Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, October 28 and 29.

“We all look forward to the fall,” said Wayne Smith. “It’s a celebration of the end of the harvest season.”

There will be wagon rides to the pumpkin patch to pick a pumpkin, vendors, food and a Bounce House. Fees for the pumpkin patch and Bounce House are $5 per person, ages 3 and younger are free.

This also is the last weekend for the museum’s corn maze, said Smith. Young and old alike will enjoy this year’s corn maze at Northern Neck Farm Museum, where getting lost is part of the fun, created with the goal of quality family togetherness.

The corn maze is a safe and relaxing event for the whole family, he said.

“This maze is the ultimate experience because you are lost and must work through the challenge together,” said Smith. “This will allow you to share the victory together. Don’t worry we search the maze every evening at 5 p.m.”
