The final concert of the Northern Neck Orchestra season will feature Clara Schumann’s virtuoso Piano Concerto performed by award-winning pianist Vijay Venkatesh, under the direction of NNO music director Michael Repper.
The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. May 25 at the Lancaster Middle School Theater, 191 School Street, Kilmarnock. A pre-concert talk will begin at 6:45 p.m. Tickets are $30 and may be purchased at the door or www.northernneckorchestra.org. Students are admitted free with an online reservation.
The concert also includes Mozart’s Overture to the Marriage of Figaro and the majestic Symphony No. 3 of Robert Schumann, Clara’s husband.
