LANCASTER—The Lancaster County Circuit Court convened Friday, May 10, with the Hon. R. Michael McKenney presiding.
Four felony charges were dismissed following a motion to quash against Marvin Wendell Davenport Jr. of Mount Olive Road related to the 2010 death of Jasmine Smith.
Davenport was charged March 22, 2018, with second degree murder, use of a firearm in commission of felony, shooting or stabbing in commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
According to police reports, in the early morning hours of July 18, 2010, guns were fired at a yard party in Nuttsville and Smith was hit by a stray bullet. She died en route to the hospital.
