Irving Brittingham elected deputy mayor in White Stone

WHITE STONE—The White Stone Town Council on February 2 elected senior member Irving Brittingham deputy mayor, and Mayor William Hubbard made multiple committee and commission appointments.

Brittingham received unanimous support from council. James Smith made the motion to have Brittingham serve as deputy mayor and AnnGardner Eubank made the second. Voting in support were Smith, Eubank, Charles Brocklebank and Ran Reeves. Councilwoman Kathryn Roop was absent.

Brittingham replaces Hubbard, who had served as deputy mayor for the past eight years. Hubbard was elected mayor in November and assumed that role at the January meeting.

Council also welcomed newly appointed councilman Tad Pittman, who is filling the seat vacated by Hubbard….
