Irvington council authorizes grant study committee, hears proposal on designated refreshment areas, amends 2021-22 budget

IRVINGTON—The Irvington Town Council on January 13 unanimously authorized councilman Dudley Patteson to organize a grant study committee as an extension of council.

“There is money that we are overlooking as a council and I think we would be irresponsible not to pursue that,” Patteson said.

He spoke to fellow council members regarding the need for a specific committee to continuously look for and apply for various grants that otherwise may go unheard of by council.

“I’d like to form a grant committee in order to research and ultimately find some grants that will give us some opportunities that we are not aware of,” Patteson said.

Councilman Wayne Nunnally, present via telephone, said he was in complete agreement….
