Irvington Farmers Market opens with a crowd

Despite some blustery winds, the sunny skies and opportunity to socialize brought hundreds out to the opening day of the Irvington Farmers Market on Saturday, May 1. Irvington Town Commons was bustling as folks checked out the large number of vendors offering produce, plants, crafts and food, while listening to free entertainment provided by Paige Melton. The market, produced by the Irvington Village Improvement Association, will continue from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., on first Saturdays through November. Photo by Jackie Nunnery
