Irvington’s new mayor looks to continue improvements

When Albert “Tripp” Bugg decided to run for office as Irvington’s mayor, he said it was because he wanted to help the town “reach its full potential.”

Now mayor-elect, he officially takes office on July 1 and Bugg is preparing to deliver on those goals. He has been busy with the transition, meeting with outgoing mayor Ralph “Rannie” Ransone and council members “to be as best informed as I can be, but I’ll learn a lot on the job.” Bugg is already familiar with much of the town’s business, having been a member of the Irvington planning commission.

“I think we have a well-balanced group,” Bugg said, referring to the council. New members include Dudley Patteson and Anthony Marchetti, replacing outgoing…
