In January, hundreds of band students from District XV auditioned for All-District Middle School Honor Bands.
Jenaya Cox, an eighth-grade clarinet player from Lancaster Middle School (LMS), was selected for the District Concert Band. On February 14, the students gathered at Brooke Point High School, and in a day-and-a-half prepared four pieces of music of different styles and performed them Saturday afternoon. Cox was the only student from the Northern Neck.
