HEATHSVILLE—Joan Patricia May Flore, 91, of Heathsville, formerly of Alexandria, passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020.
Born July 4, 1929 in Georgetown, Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Andrew James May and Mary Helen Allen May.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, Robert Ervin Flore; two daughters, Gabrielle Dawson (Brian) of Callao and Heather Butler (John) of Middletown; four grandchildren, Haley D. Deihl, Kelsey A. Dawson, Emery A. Butler and Robert W. Butler; and two great-grandsons, Henry and Harrison Deihl.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Kilmarnock, with interment in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Virginia, P. O. Box 1924, Tappahannock, VA 22560.
Currie Funeral Home LLC of Kilmarnock handled the arrangements.
