Junior Rangers program begins Monday at Belle Isle State Park

Junior Rangers program participants learn about the creatures that live in the Rappahannock River.

Belle Isle State Park, 1632 Belle Isle Road, Lancaster, will offer its summer Junior Rangers program for youth ages 6-9 on August 1, 2 and 3 and ages 10-14 on August 8, 9 and 10.

The theme for both sessions is “Wild for Wetlands,” reported education support specialist Rachel Howell. The program is designed to introduce participants to the people, animals and habitats within the Chesapeake Bay watershed through natural, historical and cultural resources and….
