JV Lady Devils moving up with experience and talent

Coach Shannon Smith returns five starters and adds some talented young players to Lancaster’s junior varsity softball team, which has gotten off to a 3-0 start this season.

“With the experience of the older girls and the additional talent of the younger girls, I think we’re going to be strong this season,” said Smith. “And all of this talent at this level is a positive for the program going forward.”

Smith returns five freshmen including pitcher Blair Smith, shortstop Madison Giese, first baseman Amanda Steensma and outfielders Abria Jackson and Amaya Veney…
