The Lancaster High School junior varsity baseball team pitched a pair of no-hitters last week to pick up its first and second wins of the season with mercy-rule victories over Colonial Beach and Mathews.
The wins give the Red Devils a 2-4 record.
Jonathan Gaines and Trevor Pittman teamed up on the mound for a no-hitter with nine strikeouts in a 20-2 slaughter-rule win over the Drifters on April 18.
Gaines, Pittman, Thomas Major, Braden George and Jahlil Hebbons each scored three runs to lead the LHS offense. The Devils had 14 base hits in the game.
