Kilmarnock Museum plans ‘Do You Remember’ bus trip

The Old Dominion Barn Dance with “Sunshine Sue” Workman first aired in 1946 and lasted for a little over a decade.

The show was Richmond’s answer to Nashville’s “Grand Ole Opry,” said Kilmarnock Museum president Carroll Lee Ashburn. The show was broadcast from the WRVA Theatre every Saturday night. It featured many future stars including Chet Atkins and “Grandpaw” Jones.
