LANCASTER—Christine Belfield Naumann, 95, of Lancaster passed away on February 11, 2019, in Richmond.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Ellis Belfield; her husband, Russell E. Naumann Jr.; and son, Russell E. Naumann III.
She leaves to cherish her memory her brother, Monroe Belfield (Mildred); sons, Gary (Mary) and Tony (Sandy) Naumann; five grandsons Russell (Janet), Rodney, Todd (Kelly), Erik (Jamie) and Andrew; along with one granddaughter, Christina Alga (Johnny); seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She attended Strayer Business College in Baltimore, Md., and The University of Richmond earning a degree in accounting. She worked at the Internal Revenue Service in Richmond, Virginia for 11 years and then WNNT Radio as a comptroller for 40 years. Mrs Naumann also started her own business Chris Naumann Accounting and worked well into her 80s.
She was an active member for many years at Bethel Methodist Church in Lively and was involved in Meals on Wheels and served on the Interfaith Service Council board of directors.
Funeral services were held Saturday, February 16, at Bennett Funeral Home in Mechanicsville. Visitation began at 9:30 a.m. and a service at 11 a.m. in the chapel. A private burial service was held at Riverview Cemetery.
