Kilmarnock True Value to hold grand opening October 6 and 7

Folks may have noticed an exterior facelift—including a bright red roof and new paint—at the former Farm & Home Supply of Kilmarnock, but there’s even more of a transformation inside. After months of remodeling and restocking, the new Kilmarnock True Value will hold its grand opening October 6 and 7.

The store at 469 North Main Street, Kilmarnock, has operated as a Southern States Cooperative store since 1970 until two years ago when the nationwide cooperative went out of business, said store manager Dennis Brent.

“It has taken me two years to put together the True Value changeover,” said Brent. Fletcher Brown and John Booker continue as owners of….
