King William defeats LHS, 3-1, in volleyball

Lancaster High School took King William to four games in a best of five series last week but unfortunately opened the season with a loss in varsity volleyball.

The Cavaliers edged LHS, 25-19, in a close first game and went up 2-0 with a 25-15 win in the third before the Lady Devils picked up a 25-11 win. Host King William won the match, 3-1, with a two-point victory, 25-23, in the fourth game.

“Our girls played so well but unfortunately lost,” said LHS coach Skylar Kellum. “But we are so ready to play them again next week.”
