Lady Devils open volleyball with 2-2 week

The varsity Lady Devils got off to a 2-2 start last week to open their abbreviated volleyball season.

Lancaster will play a nine-game schedule against Northern Neck District teams Northumberland and Rappahannock and Tidewater District’s Middlesex. It also included a double-header against the Eastern Shore’s Northampton last week when LHS picked up a pair of wins.

Lancaster’s 10-player roster includes a veteran lineup of five seniors and five juniors. Back to lead at the net will be senior hitters Amanda Steensma and Madison Giese and junior hitters Lizzy Woolard, Kayleigh Self, Logan Kemp and Shelby Rose. Returning to set is senior Katherine Thomas.

Back to lead the defense as libero is senior Blair Smith. Also returning to the defense are senior Grace Oren and junior Carissa Davis.
