Northumberland picked win number four and celebrated senior night with a 3-0 win over Highland Springs last Friday in varsity field hockey.
“It was the best game of the season for us,” said coach Mark Fridenstine. “We passed well, worked the ball wide, made excellent diagonal passes and communicated well.”
NHS goalie Kendra Jett had three saves in the second half but was untested in the first half. Emily Rice scored twice in the first half, once at the 12-minute mark and again two minutes later. Chloey O’Bier had the assist on both goals.
