LANCASTER—The Lancaster County Circuit Court convened Friday, October 15, with the Hon. R. Michael McKenney presiding.
In the case of Odell L. Smith of Lancaster, charged with three felonies for probation violations, a show cause hearing was scheduled for December 3.
Melissa L. George of Baltimore, Md., who previously pleaded no contest to a felony charge of obtaining a prescription by fraud, was sentenced to five years, all of which were suspended. George also was given five years of probation to begin upon sentencing and ordered to undergo mental health treatment and pay $560 in court costs.
In the case of Deonta D. Merrill, no address given, charged with a felony for failing to appear and a felony for violating probation, a hearing was scheduled for October 22.
In the case of Markus K. Smith of Farnham, charged with a felony for abduction by force/intimidation and a felony for malicious wounding, a status hearing was scheduled for March 11, 2022.
In the case of Irvin M. Yerby Sr. of Weems, charged with a felony for driving while intoxicated, bond was revoked and a trial scheduled for November 5.
In the case of Ronald E. Holmes Jr. of Lancaster, charged with a felony for rape and a felony for sodomy by force; a pre-trial hearing is scheduled for December 17.
