LANCASTER—The Lancaster County Circuit Court convened Friday, February 16, with the Hon. Harold Burgess presiding.
In the case of Laura N. Purcell of Gum Spring, charged with felony perjury for falsely swearing an oath, a hearing to appoint counsel was scheduled for April 22.
In the case of John B. Russell Jr. of Midlothian, previously found guilty of practicing as an attorney without a license, a post-trial motion was denied.
In the case of Richard Walters, no address given, charged with three felonies for failing to appear on a felony offense, those charges were nolle prossed. Walters also was charged with six felonies and four misdemeanors for probation violations, and probation was revoked. He was sentenced to two years, all of which were suspended on four of the felony charges. On the two other felony charges, he was sentenced to….
