LANCASTER—The Lancaster County Circuit Court convened Wednesday, February 4, with the Hon. John S. Martin presiding.

In the case of Jesse D. Foster of Lancaster, charged with felonies for involuntary manslaughter, reckless involuntary DUI manslaughter, reckless driving resulting in accident and death, and a misdemeanor for DWI, second offense within five years, a jury trial for March 2-6 was withdrawn and a status hearing was scheduled for February 13.

February 5 proceedings

The Lancaster County Circuit Court convened Thursday, February 5, with Judge Martin presiding.

In the case of Nicholas D. Purcell of White Stone, charged with a felony for perjury, falsely swearing an oath, the charge was dismissed.

February 6 proceedings

The Lancaster County Circuit Court convened Friday, February 6, with Judge Martin presiding.

In the case of Ana C. Carrillo of Dutton, charged with a felony for violating probation, a show cause hearing was scheduled for February 27.

In the case of Jelliska Marie R. Barretto, no address given, charged with a felony for obtaining money under false pretenses, an arraignment was scheduled for April 24.

In the case of Christopher L. Goins of Mollusk, charged with a felony for manufacturing/distributing a Schedule I/II substance, third-plus offense, a trial was scheduled for March 13.

In the case of Michael S. Kappel of Heathsville, charged with a felony for accepting advance pay greater than $200 without providing construction, a status hearing was scheduled for February 27.

In the case of Jerel L. Newton of Kilmarnock, charged with a felony for selling/distributing cocaine, a status hearing was scheduled for February 27.

In the case of William F. Rosalia of White Stone, charged with six felonies for selling/providing a Schedule I/II substance, a status hearing was scheduled for April 3.

In the case of Carrie M. Crowell of Lancaster, appealing a General District Court bond decision, bond was again denied.

In the case of Clifton B. Tomlin of Burgess, charged with a felony for failing to appear, an arraignment was scheduled for February 11.

In the case of Travis D. Wiggins of Lancaster, charged with a felony for a bomb threat from someone older than 18, a trial was scheduled for March 13.

In the case of Mark E. Williams of Lancaster, appealing General District Court misdemeanor convictions of drinking while driving with an open container, and DWI, first offense, a hearing to consider pre-trial motions was scheduled for March 13.

In the case of Edward Moriarty of Heathsville, appealing a General District Court misdemeanor conviction of DWI, first offense, a show cause hearing was scheduled for May 8.

In the case of Justin W. Wilmouth of Lancaster, charged with a felony for violating probation, a status hearing was scheduled for February 27.

In the case of Jesse L. Carroll of Reedville, charged with a felony for possession of a Schedule I/II substance, and a misdemeanor for possession of a Schedule III substance, a trial was scheduled for March 13.

In the case of Alexzandra D. Hosmer of Urbanna, charged with a felony for threats in writing, and a misdemeanor for stalking with fear of death/injury, a status hearing was continued to February 27.

In the case of Rassan K. Byrd of Ruther Glen, appealing a General District Court misdemeanor conviction for operating an uninspected vehicle, and infractions for speeding and an expired registration, a trial was scheduled for March 13.

In the case of Lakeya M. Carey of Lancaster, appealing five General District Court misdemeanor convictions for violating good behavior requirement on misdemeanor offenses, a trial was scheduled for March 13.

In the case of Patricia J. Lamberta of Weems, appealing a General District Court misdemeanor conviction for shoplifting, a trial is to be set February 27.
