Coffee with a cop
The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office will host “coffee with a cop” at 9 a.m. July 28 at Front Porch Coffeehouse, 139 South Main Street, Kilmarnock.

Members of the public are urged to meet and chat with law enforcement representatives.

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported charges against six individuals.

Felonies

Michael Andrew Eades, 45, of Weems was charged July 6 with grand larceny.

James David Ludwig, 44, of Weems was charged July 6 with revocation of suspension of sentence and probation on the underlying charge of perjury and failure to provide child support as ordered on April 20, 2021 in civil court.

Justin Wayne Wilmouth, male, 29, of Lancaster was charged July 7 with failure to appear in court on a felony offense.

Jacqueline Webster Heatley, 39, of Kilmarnock was charged July 9 with a bomb threat and causing a telephone, digital pager or other device to ring or signal with intent to annoy (summons).

Misdemeanors

A Lancaster man, 38, was charged July 7 with driving a motor vehicle while driver’s license is suspended or revoked.

A Weems man, 24, was charged July 8 with failure to appear in court on June 3 on the underlying charge of driving suspended.

A Lancaster man, 56, was charged July 8 with failure to appear in court on July 1 on the underlying charge of driving on a revoked license.

A Weems woman, 31, was charged July 9 with two counts of using obscene language over a telephone.

A Weems man, 86, was charged July 9 with trespassing.

July 6: Staff responded to the 5000 block of Mary Ball Road for construction fraud, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for construction fraud, and to the 9000 block of Mary Ball Road for larceny.

July 7: Staff responded to the 6000 block of Mary Ball Road for a medical emergency, to the 1400 block of Irvington Road for a two-vehicle traffic crash, to the 3000 block of Ivey Creek Road for a wanted person, and to the 2000 block of Black Stump Road for a downed tree.

July 8: Staff responded to the 100 block of Fitchett Drive for larceny, and to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for threats.

July 9: Staff responded to the 600 Block of Rappahannock Drive for threats, to Weems and Christ Church roads for  a single-vehicle traffic crash, to the 400 block of Greentown Road for larceny, to the 100 block of Meadowbrook Lane for a scam, to Mary Ball and Pinckardsville roads for a downed tree, and to the 1100 block of Indiantown Road for suspicious activity.

July 10: Staff responded to the 100 block of Rappahannock Drive for a disabled vehicle, and to the 100 block of Gaskins Road for a domestic disturbance.

July 11: Staff responded to Courthouse and White Chapel roads for a disabled vehicle, to the 1300 block of Irvington Road for a verbal dispute, and to the 70 block of Peake Road for a domestic disturbance.

July 12: Staff responded to the 1300 block of Beans Road for a domestic disturbance.

Staff also conducted seven traffic stops, issued 10 summonses, assisted two motorists, handled a request for traffic control, investigated a building alarm, processed a mental health order, logged five inmate transports, received 13 E911 hang up calls, and fielded two calls for animal control.

Fire calls

Kilmarnock Volunteer Fire Department responded to a traffic crash on Irvington Road.

White Stone VFD responded to a fire alarm on Cherry Point Road and a traffic crash at Weems and Christ Church roads.
