The Lions International Peace Poster is an integral part of the Lancaster Middle School art program. Every student in sixth to eighth grade, as well as homeschoolers who meet the age criteria, are invited to participate.
Every year, Lions International establishes a different theme revolving around Peace. This year’s theme is “Peace through Service.”
This year, “for the safety of all as COVID-19 is an airborne virus, school art is normally done digitally,” said art teacher Marilyn Sprouse.
“Since the international contest requires a poster entry, we had to get creative,” said Lion Eileen Tullner, who chairs the Peace Poster Contest for the Lancaster Lions Club.
