LANCASTER—Following a brief public hearing, the Lancaster board of supervisors on Thursday, September 30, unanimously, 5-0, approved a zoning change request from property owner Todd Robertson for three parcels totaling 10.39 acres on Johns Neck Road in North Weems.
The property, the former site of a seafood processing facility, had been for sale for at least 10 years due to some “septic challenges,” according to Robertson.
Contractor David Jones said that “up until recently we could not get septic on the property. We were told that there was no way that it would be able to handle anything under commercial operation.”
