Lancaster High School made its second sweep of Northampton in as many weeks, beating the Yellow Jackets, 3-0, in a varsity volleyball match at LHS on September 18.
The Lady Devils were 4-3 heading into a three-match week, which began on September 23 at Middlesex. Lancaster opened Northern Neck District play on September 24 against Northumberland and will host Westmoreland tonight, September 26.
Alexis VerMeer and Tahlia Sutton were the power hitters against Northampton. VerMeer had 11 kills and Sutton seven as LHS beat the Jackets, 25-16, 25-13 and 25-16.
VerMeer also led the servers with seven aces and Rory Lally put over six unreturned serves for LHS.
