The new Lancaster High School girls tennis team celebrated a lot of firsts last week.
The team won its first match. Indian Creek Yacht and Country Club (ICYCC), home to the team, hosted its first high school match and several players celebrated their first wins.
“Getting a win to break the ice is big,” said coach George Christoforotas. “We are learning to play each and every day. If we work and continue to come to practice and learn, we could upset some of the established teams….
