LANCASTER—Due to an old water leak causing some mold contamination, the Lancaster County voter registration office has been temporarily moved to the Office of the Circuit Court Clerk, 8265 Mary Ball Road, in the Lancaster Judicial Center until further notice.
According to county administrator Don Gill, the mold was found downstairs where the public does not have access. He said when they first measured the air quality in December there were no airborne mold spores. A second test done in April detected surface mold in an employee bathroom and kitchen, which the contractor considered “mild.”
Emergency remediation to contain the mold was completed and the county will have an office trailer delivered to provide a longer term space until….
