Law enforcement agencies launch ‘Survive The Drive’

Northern Neck law enforcement agency representatives gather to promote “Survive The Drive,” a holiday safe driving campaign.

KILMARNOCK—Northern Neck law enforcement agencies have recently united for “Survive The Drive,” a holiday safe driving campaign.

Many motorists will take to the scenic highways throughout the Northern Neck during the upcoming holidays. While quality time with family and friends is the forefront of attention, the need for traffic safety is paramount and must not be overlooked, reported Virginia State Police (VSP) Richmond Division public information officer Sgt. Dylan Davenport.

The goal of this campaign is to help drivers and passengers remember the importance of buckling up, traveling at a safe speed, putting the phone down while behind the wheel, and not drinking and driving, said Sgt. Davenport.
