The K-12 Lancaster County Public Schools art show will be held Friday and Saturday, March 21-22, at Lancaster Elementary School (LES), 191 School Street, Kilmarnock.
Lancaster High School art teacher Sarah Westin and LES art teacher Marilyn Sprouse will transform the LES gym into an art gallery with over 1200 works of flat art, dimensional and ceramic works on display. Drawings, prints, painting, oil pastels, pen and ink and more media are utilized by the students, said Sprouse.
RAL Art Center members will judge and provide awards for everyone, she said.
On Friday, students will visit the show and awards ceremony. Also on Friday, there will be a Trashion Fashion competition, an independent home and family activity.
On Saturday, the show will open to the public from 9 a.m.-noon. Trashion Fashions and staff creations will be displayed along with all of the thought provoking and joyous works of art, said Sprouse.
