Lancaster freshman McKenzie Pittman had a daunting task before her on Monday when she faced senior two-time Class 1 state champion Sadie Packett of Rappahannock in the Region 1A girls tennis singles final.
The match turned out as it should have on paper with Packett successfully defending her regional championship with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Pittman.
