Sheriff’s Report 6-5-25

Fraud alert The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) recently issued a scam alert. Numerous citizens have reported the receipt of calls about "missing jury duty" or "missing court" from persons claiming to be "Officer Davis" or "Lt. Hudson." Each such call involved "paying with your credit card" or "buying prepaid cards" to "avoid arrest and jail." These are all fraud. The LCSO will not call you and will not tell you to "pay the fine to avoid arrest or avoid going to jail.”
