Essex High School took a 31-0 lead in the first nine and a half minutes and cruised to a 57-8 win over Lancaster in varsity football November 1.

The Trojans amassed 354 yards of offense including 319 rushing yards on their home field to improve to 8-1 overall. Essex has outscored opponents in their wins 396-28 with three shutouts on the season. The Trojans’ only loss came to Rappahannock.

Essex shut down Lancaster’s running game which resulted in negative 31 yards. The Red Devils, instead, went to the air 40 times with 13 completions for….
