Lancaster High School celebrated its senior tennis players and its first win of the season Tuesday, April 30, at Indian Creek Yacht and Country Club (ICYCC).
The LHS boys team beat Appomattox Regional Governor’s School (ARGS), 7-2. The two teams played back-to-back that day with ARGS winning the first match, 5-4.
Lancaster is 1-7 heading into postseason play next week.
The Red Devils lost to Rappahannock for a second time on May 2. The Raiders have beaten the Devils, 6-3, in both matches.
“This means that Rappahannock will finish above us and have an easier schedule for regionals,” said LHS coach George Christoforatos.
