Matthew Kane turned in the top performance for Lancaster on Saturday, May 3, at the second Queen Harrison Track Classic Invitational at Hermitage High School.
Kane cleared 10’6” as the runner-up in the pole vault and teammate Josh Woolard cleared 10’0” for fourth place. The Red Devils had three vaulters in the top 10 with Brooks Parker clearing 9’0” for eighth place.
The LHS 4X800 meter relay team placed fourth with a time of 8:45.86 and its 4X400 team was eighth with a time of 3:41.96.
In the girls meet, Elisa Veal put the shot 31’5” for ninth place and Courtney Johnson had a 16’5” long jump for ninth place.
Lancaster will compete next on May 15 at Middlesex.
