WHITE STONE—On Wednesday, November 14, at approximately 8:08 p.m., the Virginia State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash with fatality on Windmill Point Road, .2 miles east of Oyster House Road.
The trooper’s preliminary investigation reveals that a 2002 Subaru 4-door, driven by Gary Frederick Boswell, 61, of White Stone was traveling eastbound on Windmill Point Road when he ran off road right while in a curve, reported Sgt. Keeli L. Hill, Division 1 public information officer. Boswell over corrected left back onto the roadway, and ran off road left striking an embankment and several trees.
Boswell was not wearing his seat belt, according to VSP reports. Unfortunately, Boswell succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Speed is being considered a factor into the cause of the crash, which remains under investigation, said Sgt. Hill.
