Marchetti family to serve as grand marshals for 45th annual Christmas parade

The Lancaster by the Bay Chamber recently announced Anthony and Joanna Marchetti, along with their family, will serve as the grand marshals of the 45th annual Kilmarnock Lighted Christmas Parade.

“Anthony, Joanna and their three children are a beacon of positivity and commitment in the Northern Neck, and we are proud to honor them for their enduring contributions and community spirit,” said executive director Leslie Jingluski.

The parade will begin at 7 p.m. Friday, December 13, and follow a route from the shopping centers on North Main to Irvington Road, dispersing along School Street. Some units will exit the route in the vicinity of Blue Ridge Bank on South Main Street.

J. Marchetti, a Gloucester native and James Madison University graduate, has been a driving force in community wellness and youth programs. For the past 13 years, she has served as project coordinator at Bon Secours Rappahannock General Hospital, where she spearheaded community outreach initiatives like the annual Play Day in the Park.

Her dedication extends beyond her professional role, as she has served on the Northern Neck Family YMCA board, volunteered ….
