Irvington planning commission recommends approval of STR and redevelopment applications

IRVINGTON—Another short-term rental (STR) is on pace to operate on Steamboat Road following a Tuesday, December 3, Irvington planning commission meeting.

According to zoning administrator Justin Nelson, Robert and Cynthia Hudson of White Stone applied for a conditional use permit (CUP) to operate two STR’s in a duplex at 277 Steamboat Road.

Despite two rental opportunities, because it is all on the same tax map the approval of the STR would only count towards one of the 35 allotted STR registrations in town, said Nelson.

The approval of this application would bring the total number of STRs in town to somewhere between 29-31. He is currently….
