NASSAWADOX—Mary Pitts Bain, 88, wife of the late Willis Bain and a resident of Nassawadox, formerly of Lancaster, passed away Monday, May 28, 2018, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock.
A native of Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. Pitts and the late Ollie Marsh Pitts. She was a graduate of Pan American Business College and retired from the telephone company, Peoples Life Insurance Company, Department of Social Services and secretary for R.O. Norris Law Firm. She was a lifetime member of Providence Baptist Church.
She is survived by a sister, Ellen P. Camden of Exmore; a brother, James R. Pitts of Savannah, Ga.; two nephews, Sid Camden and his wife, Susan, of Shawboro, N.C., and Major James Gordon Pitts of the U.S. Air Force; and two great nephews, Tyler Camden of Greenville, N.C., and Ryan Camden of Shawboro.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 16, at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery with Tucker Bean officiating.
