Retired public school teacher Shauna Deihl McCranie has been named executive director of the Reedville Fishermen’s Museum.
McCranie has taught in both Northumberland and Lancaster counties and will bring a wealth of artistic and educational experience when she starts her new position in early June.
McCranie is no stranger to the menhaden industry, as she was born and raised in Reedville. Her family legacy involves a long line of current and retired fishermen. She grew up with a commercial fish boat captain as her father, and she knows the sacrifices of a fishing family….
