Mow it and grow it 

The Northern Neck Chapter of the Virginia Native Plant Society (NN VNPS) will meet at noon Thursday, February 9, at the Lancaster Community Library, 16 Town Centre Drive, Kilmarnock.

Former president Paula Boundy will present “Mown Area=Lawn?”, an informative and humorous look at her own “lawn,” the weird grasses and weeds in her mown area and what she would prefer to be there—native plants.

Her presentation will begin about 12:45 p.m. following a short discussion on the February Native Plant of the Month by president Betsy Washington.
