Murder trial rescheduled for October

LANCASTER—Following defense motions filed in Lancaster Circuit Court on May 15, with the Hon. R. Michael McKenney presiding, the murder trial of Jacob Michael Monday of Lancaster was changed to October 19 from its original start date of June 22.

Defense attorney Anna Lindemann of Bowen, Clements & Favret sought to delay the trial because “the discovery process is ongoing. The Commonwealth is still seeking to obtain information and until the Commonwealth’s investigation is complete, I can’t say our investigation is complete.”

And while coronavirus-related restrictions are lifting, the June trial continuance Lindemann asked for, and the Commonwealth Attorney’s office agreed with, would reduce the exposure risk to…
