HEATHSVILLE—The Northumberland County Circuit Court convened Tuesday, May 28, with the Hon. Michael E. Levy presiding.

In the case of Craig J. Bailey of Saluda, charged with three counts of probation violation on a felony offense, driving while intoxicated with a prior related felony conviction, driving on a suspended/revoked license and possession of Schedule I/II drugs, a trial was set for July 23.

In the case of Kevin R. Cunningham of Callao, charged with distributing/selling Schedule I/II drugs and possession of Schedule I/II drugs, a plea was scheduled for July 23.

In the case of Dakota A. Galves of Port Haywood, charged with probation violation on a felony offense, bond was granted and the case was continued to June 18.

Sharnon E. Joseph of Reedville was found guilty of rape by force or threat and was sentenced to five years with one year suspended. Joseph also was found guilty of forced sexual penetration with an object with the victim being his spouse and was sentenced to five years with two years suspended. He was also found guilty of misdemeanor sexual battery and was sentenced to 12 months. He will be placed on five years of probation upon release and faces a total of $1,164 in costs.

In the case of Keandre T. Moye of Warsaw, charged with four counts of distributing/selling Schedule I/II drugs, a trial was set for September 24.

In the case of Riley H. Sanford of Heathsville, charges of abduction by force/intimidation, probation violation on a felony offense and felony violation of community-based probation were all concluded by nolle prosequi.

In the case of Troy A. Walker of Heathsville, charged with two counts of Tier III sex offender registration violation, a plea was scheduled for July 23.

In the case of David C. Wimer of Reedville, charged with grand larceny more than $1,000 not personal property, entering a house to committee assault and battery and three counts of deferred disposition violation, a deferred disposition was scheduled for October 22.
