HEATHSVILLE—The Northumberland County Circuit Court convened Tuesday, August 27, with the Hon. John S. Martin presiding.
In the case of Doris N. Brown, address not given, charged with embezzlement greater than $200, a trial was set for December 10.
Mark A. Thompson of Callao pleaded guilty to possession of Schedule I/II drugs and was sentenced to five years with five years suspended. He faces $550 in costs and was placed on supervised probation for five years. Additionally, four charges against Thompson of selling/distributing Schedule I/II drugs were nolle prossed.
In the case of Lakeya Thornton of Heathsville, charged with two counts of malicious wounding, sentencing was scheduled for October 29.
In the case of Charles A. Roadley of New Kent, charged with construction fraud greater than $1,000 by advance pay, a trial was continued to December 10.
