HEATHSVILLE—The Northumberland County Circuit Court convened Tuesday, May 19, with the Hon. John S. Martin presiding.

Kendall C. Anderson of Burgess pleaded guilty to distributing/selling Schedule I/II drugs for profit. He was sentenced to five years with four years and three months suspended. He faces $633 in costs and will be on supervised probation for five years upon release. An additional three charges of distributing/selling Schedule I/II drugs for profit were nolle prosed.

Kennie L. Lansberry of Heathsville was found guilty of larceny by unauthorized use of a vehicle and was sentenced to three years with two years and six months suspended. She faces $1,002 in costs and will serve three years of supervised probation upon release.

Jonathan T. Martin of Heathsville pleaded nolo contendere to two counts of grand larceny by auto theft, grand larceny of more than $1,000 not personal property and grand larceny. A deferred disposition was scheduled for July 28. He faces $3,140 in costs.

In the case of Mark A. Thompson of Callao, charged with probation violation on a felony offense, bond was granted and a status hearing was set for October 27.

Reminder, those charged with alleged crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
