RICHMOND—Patricia Hubbard Dennis, departed this life peacefully, on November 30, 2023, surrounded by family.
Born in Richmond, on December 13, 1933, to Mabel S. and T. Lynch Hubbard, she grew up in Richmond and Henrico enjoying summers on the Rappahannock River near Tappahannock.
She loved the river, knitting, pink roses and playing Mr. & Mrs. Claus with her husband of 54 years, James Waller Dennis.
She is survived by her two children, JD and Ellen (Andy); and her grandson, Ian.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother; parents; husband; and two younger brothers. The family wishes to acknowledge her other caregivers: Brenda Jackson, Sunrise of Richmond and Beth Sholom Senior Living.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 14, at the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 West Broad Street, Glen Allen, Va. Visitation with family and friends is at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Central Virginia Chapter of NAMI, or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
